Roadburn Festival 2008: DOWN

De Roadburn Pre Heat wordt een speciale avond; in samenwerking met Lee Dorrian's Rise Above Records, gaan we het 20-jarig bestaan van het label vieren. Lee Dorrian is de zanger/oprichter van Cathedral, en zijn Rise Above Records is het 'grootste cult label' in de stoner/doomscene. Headliner is niemand minder dan DOWN. De supergroep met Phil Anselmo (ex-Pantera, Superjoint Ritual vocalist), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, nieuw Crowbar album komt eraan), Rex Brown (ex-Pantera bassist), and Jimmy Bower (Crowbar drummer, Superjoint Ritual en Eyehategod gitarist). 'DOWN III - Over The Under' was een grote hit in de V.S. Lee Dorrian: "The deal is sealed. Down are headlining the Rise Above night and will be joined on the main stage by Grand Magus & Capricorns. Diagonal are making their debut live appearance outside the UK with their blend of Vertigo label inspired Jazz Rock – meets Canterbury flavoured Kraut Rock. Taint will simply destroy, as they always. Litmus’ brand of violent Space Rock will drag you the outer limits of unearthly Ejection. Belgium’s Serpentcult add an extreme dose of Heavy Doom, set to smash skulls apart, which we are delighted about. Also adding a different angle to the proceedings are the fantastic Horror Rock sounds of Holland’s very own The Devil’s Blood. This is for your protection. Down just wants to get everything right the first time around so everyone can just concentrate on having a good time! There will be a full pat down search, and prohibited items include the following: Professional Cameras / Digital Cameras Audio and Video recording devices Cans, Bottles or any hard containers Weapons of any kind Laser Pointers Chains of any kind, including those attached to wallets. Spikes of any kind i.e. wrist, neck, and jacket. There's gonna be a “no re-entry” policy from the time the doors open until the performance ends! If you are picking up your tickets from will-call at the venue, they will be available at the box office. Please pick up your tickets from the box office before getting in the entrance line.
