New in 013: Dabke Night x Habibis World! Together with the collectives Dabke Night and Habibis World, we are joining forces to create a unique night where dance, music, and culture come together.

Cheb Runner is the headliner of Dabke Night x Habibis World! He is a Moroccan producer and composer rooted in the coastal city of Agadir, exploring the electronic musical landscape. Cheb embodies a new sound of inbetweenness, shaped by different worlds while moving freely across time. He merges traditional and contemporary electronic sounds, moving from Moroccan chaabi and spiritual soundscapes to eclectic disco, techno, rave and gabber. A familiar presence on Kiosk Radio in Brussels (BE), Cheb Runner is also part of the (A)WAKE Foundation in Rotterdam (NL) where he continues to explore the intersections of analog and digital, local and global, tradition and modernity.

Over the past few years, Dabke Night has grown into one of the newest trends in nightlife across the Netherlands. Dabke Night is all about community, culture, and the infectious energy of dabke, a traditional and vibrant folk dance from the Levant region (Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan). Start the evening with an accessible workshop where you’ll learn the basics of dabke. After that, the dance floor opens for a celebration filled with traditional dabke music blended with modern electronic beats and hip-hop.

With Habibis World, you step into a world where the colors, scents, and rhythms of the Arab world come together, celebrating culture and community. By blending Arabic sounds with house, urban, afro, and tech influences, the DJs of Habibis World take you on a musical journey through different Arab countries. As the ultimate party for the Arab diaspora, Habibis World offers a unique experience for anyone curious about the rich traditions and flair of the Arab world.

De afgelopen jaren is Dabke Night uitgegroeid tot dé nieuwe trend in het nachtleven door heel Nederland. Dabke Night draait om community, cultuur en de aanstekelijke energie van de dabke, een traditionele en levendige volksdans uit de Levant regio (Syrië, Palestina, Libanon, Jordanië). Begin de avond met een toegankelijke workshop waarin je de basis van de dabke leert. Daarna gaat de dansvloer open voor een feest vol traditionele dabke muziek, gemixt met moderne elektronische beats en hiphop.
